From November 10th to November 14th, our community came together to donate canned food for our neighbors in need. Platte Valley High School's National Honor Society coordinated the food drive, working together to collect and organize the cans for the families in need. Each school came together to donate; PVELC collected 321 cans, PVES collected 4,444 cans, PVMS collected 1,380 cans and PVHS collected 2,931 cans. The drive totaled 9,076 cans with $2,646 raised. The drive benefits the Weld County Food Bank ahead of the holiday season. Thank you to our students, staff and Platte Valley community for all of their hard work and generous donations. PVHS Principal, Eric Lind, summed it up best saying, "We are grateful for the kindness, compassion, and teamwork shown by our students, families, and staff. Your commitment to giving back truly reflects the spirit of Platte Valley—Every Student, Every Day, and a community that stands together."
