After sustaining a spinal cord injury in January 2024, PVHS student, Leeandra, has approached her recovery with determination and a strong commitment to regaining independence. With support from occupational therapists, she trained to use adaptive hand controls to learn to drive. During a visit to complete the fitting of her adaptive driving equipment, Leeandra received a surprise gift: a fully funded vehicle and accessibility modifications made possible through the generosity of The Whippersnappers In Need (WIN) Foundation and its supporters. Her story of resilience and journey to independence has been highlighted in Fitness to Drive's May newsletter! You can read more about her story here: https://vipelnk.com/May2026News
