Financial Transparency
Platte Valley School District is committed to financial transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds. This Financial Transparency page provides our community with clear, accessible information about district budgets, expenditures, and financial reports. By sharing this information openly, we aim to support informed understanding of how resources are managed to serve students, staff, and schools while maintaining public trust and fiscal responsibility.
The adopted budget, financial audit, and salary schedules must be posted or updated within 60 days after completion or receipt of the applicable report, statement or document. The list of waivers must be updated or posted within 30 days after a waiver is revoked or a new waiver is granted.

Platte Valley has been fortunate to have tremendous community support that has passed regular mill-levy override initiatives. The 2024 mill-levy override has been used to help retain and recruit highly effective teachers, maintain class sizes to enhance student learning, purchase and install instructional technology, maintain music, Gifted and Talented, and related specialized programs to meet individualized student needs, and to replace outdated textbooks and curriculum. The amount of the voter approved mill-levy override is not to exceed $3,472,932.
Because of the investments the Platte Valley School District voters have made, the district has regularly and routinely excelled inside and outside the classroom. Platte Valley High School had the highest graduation rate in the state in 2016 and earned the Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award for consistent high growth in English Language Arts, English Language Proficiency and Math. The district regularly beats state average testing scores across the state. While the state of Colorado has neglected to fully fund schools across the state because of the Budget Stabilization Factor, costing the District approximately $7,422,903 since its inception in 2009, the patrons at Platte Valley School District have chosen to fill the void and invest in their local schools. We believe the investment is paying off.
