Remote Learning occurs when the learner and instructor, or source of information, are separated by time and distance and therefore cannot meet in a traditional classroom setting. Information is typically transmitted via technology (email, discussion boards, video conference, audio bridge) so that no physical presence in the classroom is required. Also referred to as Distance Education, Virtual Instruction, or Remote Training.

To help make the transition to remote learning, we've created resources, training and how to guides that we hope will help support IT, educators, staff and students as they make the transition. Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings conversations, content, assignments, and apps together in one place, letting teachers create vibrant learning environments.

Driving student engagement and focused learning while outside of the classroom can be a challenge, especially for those that are moving to remote learning for the first time.
