  • Disconnect your connection and reconnect.
  • Restart your device.

As a student, can I install things like a printer, other software or apps onto my school laptop? As stated in the Student/Parent handbook (English) (Spanish), students will not be permitted to install software or hardware. This includes, but is not limited to, printers, scanners, games, apps (other than what is approved and can be found in the "Company Portal" located in the Start Menu). What should I do when I receive a "Request Blocked" screen when trying to access web pages?

  • In most cases this happens because your Wi-Fi router or hotspot is not sending the correct information to your laptop. Try disconnecting from Wi-Fi and connect again. Restarting your router or hotspot helps too.
  • Another option is to go into hotspot settings. Normally hotspots are set to 2.4Ghz, so try changing this from 2.4Ghz to 5.0Ghz. Your laptop will automatically disconnect from your hotspot. Reconnect and try connecting to your website again.
